for the first time in my life i don't want my feet on the ground
cause it means that i'll be missing something new
i didn't know it then, but i know it now
it's time to step back and enjoy the view
cause there's something you have to learn
always taking wrong turns
and sometimes it's hard to breath
til you realise it's not what you need
but in hindsight it never felt right
but i know that there was more to it back then
in daylight you find you were closing your eyes
you wake to the beginning of the end
in hindsight
everything can change and that's no surprise
had those feelings til i saw something in your eyes
that i'd never seen before
you broke down all my walls
and i can't help thinking you were standing there a long time
